If you need a prenatal test to clarify paternity, it is possible to start as early as Pregnancy week 8+ to get a clear, accurate answer without performing a risky foetal intervention. With the help of  DNA SNP microarray technology, it is possible to separate and analyse the unborn child's DNA, which is naturally present in the mother's bloodstream.

Prenatal testing is carried out via a simple blood sample from the mother and a mouth swab from the presumed father. The test procedure includes the analysis of 317,000 DNA markers. The product is the only one available worldwide with a Yes accuracy up to 99.99999%. Previously, it was only possible to establish paternity during pregnancy, using a risky invasive procedure on the foetus to collect cells.

The product cannot be offered to pregnant women who are expecting twins or multiple children. One of the reasons for this is that it is theoretically possible to have multiple children with different fathers. It is recommended to get an early scan (usually possible from 5-6 weeks of pregnancy) at a private scanning clinic beforehand, among other things to determine the possibility of multiple foetuses. This is one of the reasons to contact us before ordering this product.

DNA Medical is happy to organise blood sampling, this is associated with a fee of DKK 850 to the private clinics we work with in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
This type of test kit is only sent to the medical centre where the blood test is performed, never to your home.

The DNA kit for this type of test contains containers for blood samples. These are filled with a liquid that prevents samples from clotting. DNA Medical guarantees that a paternity test during pregnancy will deliver an analysis with an accuracy of min. 99.9-99.99999% if yes, and 0.0% if no.

Delivery of the result/analysis is via e-mail/PDF document, as standard. This ensures the fastest possible delivery and the highest possible confidentiality. You can, of course, have the result delivered by normal post, for example, just specify this under "Order comments" when ordering.
